The DGM has a double presidency for the first time! Thanks to a change in the statutes, the General Assembly was able to elect Prof. Dr. Frank Mücklich from the University of Saarland and Dr. Oliver Schauerte from Volkswagen AG as its presidents at the DGM Day on 25 September in Darmstadt. This means that the focus is shifting even more clearly than before to the fact that our society, as the representative of the interests of its members, must simultaneously focus on science and industry.
